Code of Conduct

Do

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe space for all participants. Please be mindful of your words and actions. By entering the space you agree to the following:

  • I will ask before I take photos of people.
  • I will respect the wishes of people who do not want to be photographed or appear in photos.
  • I will be an active listener.
  • I will remain respectful.
  • I will not harass anyone.
  • If I am in a conflict with someone, I will attempt to resolve the conflict peacefully.
  • I will not use homophobic, sexist, racist, ableist, or classist language.

Don’t do

The following behaviors will not be tolerated and can lead to expulsion from the event:

  • Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination [related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion].
  • Sexual images in public spaces
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Harassing photography or recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior

If you are being harassed by someone feel free to contact the event organizers.
